Half-drunk Nina is able to sense her ghost son, and calls Matuku. Meanwhile the possessed Bode enters the party at the cave, and lures the kids down below. Kinsley and Jamal is suspicious, but Bode/Dodge breaks character and uses the shadows to take control of the situation.
Meanwhile Ty and Duncan fight shadows with light, and heads towards Keyhouse just as detective Matuku arrives. In a tense situation, another police officer tries to shoot a shadow, but he hits Tyler instead.

- In Locke & Key: Omega #1, Tyler mentions an old friend, Shep Martin, who would play Dave Matthews on his guitar at parties to "show how sensitive he is". In the Drowning Cave, Brinker Martin is playing his guitar while asking who likes Dave Matthews.
