Joe Ridgeway is a character from Netflix's adaptation of Locke and Key. He is the principal of Lovecraft Academy as well as an English teacher. He was vastly compassionate, charismatic, and wise, but his undoing comes when he suspected Dodge was the long-deceased Lucas Caravaggio and investigated her, leading to her killing him to keep her cover a secret. His legacy is honored by the academy's alumni but tarnished by the collective belief he committed suicide, despite Nina Locke sensing he was slaughtered by a mysterious assailant.
