The Hercules Necklace is a necklace that makes the user three times stronger with the Hercules Key.
History[]
Bode discovers the Hercules Necklace inside the Harlequin Wardrobe in February,[1] then wears it to fight for the Chain Key against The Great Lock. It was later used by Tyler Locke the same month, and by Dodge on Scot Kavanaugh inside the Drowning Caves.[2]
Netflix Adaptation[]
In the second season, the Hercules Necklace is changed to a belt,[3] appearing alongside the Hercules Key.[4] Bode discovers the belt with the key and uses it to help move a couch.[5]
Properties[]
The Hercules Necklace is only activated with the Hercules Key. Those who wear the necklace gain a significant increase in physical strength and endurance,[6] even protection from injuries that would kill a human.[2] The wearer's durability lasts as long as it is worn; but when it is removed, the user is vulnerable to chronic ailments they've received in the previous state.[2]
Trivia[]
- The Hercules Belt in the Netflix series has an image of a lion on the buckle. This is a reference to the Nemean Lion, a creature slain and worn by Hercules as his first labor.
