Dorothy Wheeler is a minor antagonist in Locke and Key, serving as one of the two opening antagonists (alongside Ada) of its third season.
She and her sister, Ada Wheeler, were the trusted workers for Frederick Gideon.
History[]
Years prior to the series, two demons were somehow released and possessed the sisters Dorothy and Ada, before they were trapped within the snow globe of the Snow Globe Key. Determined to free herself from the snow globe, Dorothy started ramming a tree outside Keyhouse Manor against the glass dome barrier to get the outsider's attention.[1]
In present day, the sisters sensed the demon that possessed a man named Frederick Gideon had resurfaced. The sisters catch the attention of Nina Locke, using her to escape the globe and find the Echo Key in the coat pocket of Eden's corpse and, as commanded, retrieved the key and gave it to Gideon.
Gideon had a connection to the Black Door, and had the ability to open portals to another world as long as Gideon had all the Keys. After discovering what he could potentially do, he sent Dorothy and Ada to Keyhouse Manor in search of more keys. Nina used the Mirror Key to trap Dorothy and Ada in the Mirror Dimension after they entered Keyhouse Manor and attacking Kinsey.[1]
